Republican folly

I would like to thank Bruce Ramsey for his recent column on the current problems with the state Republican Party. More evidence that the state Republican Party is out of touch with the realities of Washington state is the fact that every Republican endorsed by the Washington Conservation Voters this year won election. Yet the state party refuses to show strong leadership on environmental issues or even fully support their own pro-environment representatives.
I represent many Republicans from across the state who recognize the folly in the lack of leadership the state Republican Party has shown. We ask the state Republicans to recognize the damage the anti-environment stance has done to the statewide party and reassess their values. Conservation is conservative.
